I’d like to introduce a toy that I adored in my childhood, which is a Lego. If I’m not mistaken, it was on my 7th or 8th birthday that I got it from a store that specialized in toys. And the reason why I got it was because my parents wanted to give me a birthday surprise. It cost a fortune, about 500 RMB. However, it was something that I’d dreamed of for ages, so my parents didn’t mind splurging on it. And I can still recall how excited and thrilled I was when I got it.
As for what it was like, well, it consisted of more than 400 plastic building bricks, with multiple colors and different shapes. When it was finished, it was just a bit smaller than I was. What made it incredible was that it was Harry-Potter-themed. You know, I’ve always been a huge fan of Harry Potter. So, the second I laid eyes on it, I decided to buy it right away.
Moving on to how I felt about it, generally, it was one of my favorite toys. For one thing, I was able to develop my imagination and creativity through playing with it as I had to visualize which pieces should be assembled together and how it would look. For another, it often reminds me of the time that I spent with my friends. I remember, we used to spend hours setting up the pieces without noticing how fast time went by. So now I still put it on my bookshelf so that I can see it every day. And every time I see it, it would make me feel nostalgic. I guess I’ll keep it as long as I can.
